Tracing and Coloring “Happy Valentine’s Day” Sheets

  • Work on fine motor skills while tracing “Happy Valentine’s Day”.
  • Would also make a fun coloring sheet.
  • Perfect for your home or classroom writing table.

Skills: Fine Motor

Valentine’s Day Note Cards

  • Give a love note to family and friends!
  • A nice addition to the writing table along with a pretend mail box.
  • Can also be part of a Valentine’s Day writing station.
  • Use with favorite writing tools, dot markers, stamps and stickers!

Printable Valentine's Day Learning Activities for Toddlers and Preschoolers

English and Spanish Color Hearts

  • Matching Activity: Make 2 copies of each heart, cut out, and then match them by color.
  • Sorting Activity: Place matching colored items (such as pom poms or buttons) on top of each heart.

Printable Valentine's Day Learning Activities for Toddlers and Preschoolers

Chocolate Box Shape Matching

  • Cut out the chocolate shapes and place on top of the matching chocolates in the candy box.
  • Preschoolers with stronger cutting skills can cut the shapes out by themselves using the dashed lines as a guide.
  • For an independent activity, preschoolers can use a glue stick to attach the shapes to the chocolate box.

Lacing Hearts

  • Copy on heavy (card stock) paper and/or laminate.
  • Provide tipped yarn laces.
  • The white heart can be colored and decorated by the children using paint, writing tools, stamps and/or stickers!

Uppercase and Lowercase Alphabet Matching

  • Cut the cards and then cut again down the middle of each one so that the uppercase and lowercase letters are separated.
  • Match the uppercase letters to the lowercase letters.

Count and Match Valentine Bear Puzzles

  • Copy on heavy paper and/or laminate.
  • Cut apart on the lines.
  • Count the bears and find the matching number, putting the pieces together like puzzles.

Skills: Number Recognition; Counting

Bear Counting Cards

  • Count the bears on each card and recognize the number.
  • Can place in a pocket chart in your math area, too, or use during circle time.

Color Heart Matching Activity

  • Copy on heavy (card stock) paper and/or laminate.
  • Cut out each card and then cut again down the middle of each heart.
  • Table activity: Place the card halves on a tray. Place matching halves together to make one whole heart.
  • Circle time activity: Hand each child a half of a heart. Have them walk around the circle and find the friend that has the same color, making one whole heart.
