Inside: Printable Toddler Winter Counting Props –  6 Sets for Circle Time!

Toddler circle time is perfect for working on counting skills, especially when you have visuals.

These toddler winter counting props can be held or displayed on flannel or magnetic boards.

They can also be used as counting activities at the table – perfect for toddlers at home!

Each set works on numbers one through ten.

A great addition to the winter theme!

Why use props?

If you’ve been following Teaching 2 and 3 Year Olds for any length of time, you know how I love using props in our classroom, especially with toddlers who have shorter attention spans.

One of the most frequent questions I am asked is, “How can I keep my toddlers engaged during circle time?”

I get it.

It can be a real challenge!

It took me a few years of teaching this age group before I realized that visuals are a must.

I also love to use visuals to teach skills, counting included.

I created this set of counting props with toddlers and the winter theme in mind.

You can use all ten or start with a few and gradually build.

These props are also a great companion to related counting songs, such as Five Little Snowmen and related books such as Ten Sparkly Snowflakes.
