Inside: Our Toddler and Preschool Themes for 2025-2026
I get a lot of emails and messages asking what themes I will be using for my two’s class each year.
This page is dedicated to our toddler and preschool themes for 2025-2026.
When you click on each theme, it will take you to a resource page that is full of ideas you can pick and choose from. If it’s an activity I’ve shared before, I will link to it so you can get the details.
Please note that the activities I added are for a variety of levels. Therefore, some activities might be geared more for toddlers and some activities might be geared more for preschoolers. It’s important that you know your class and what will work for them!
Also, this is what I am doing, but there certainly are lots of other themes out there. In fact, if you want more ideas that what I am doing, please refer to this page: Toddler and Preschool Themes for the Entire Year.
To get a full idea of what we are doing each week, make sure to:

This is my plan for the 2025-2026 school year. If you’ve been following me for awhile, you will see that it hasn’t changed much over the years. I love these themes for this age group, and each one is usually two weeks long (some are shorter, some are longer, to fit into the calendar). However, I have added more ideas to each resource page, so make sure to check those out!
Our preschool is from September to May. I get messages asking about the summer, but since I do not teach during June, July and August, they are not included in this. For summer ideas, please refer to this page: Toddler and Preschool Themes for the Entire Year.
Most of the printables we use come from my Teachers Pay Teachers Shop. My daughter, Rachel, not only creates these packets, but she designs all the graphics, too! If there is something you are looking for but cannot find, please send me an email at sheryl@teaching2and3yearolds.com and I will see if it can be added to the shop! We appreciate your purchases because this helps with the costs of running a website. You will see how we use most of these printables in my themed YouTube videos, and I am adding more posts on the website.
About My Class
I get a lot of emails and messages asking information about my classroom, so here’s a summary.
- I have taught in the same private preschool since January 1999.
- I taught three and four year olds for sixteen years (in addition to two year olds) and two years of teaching pre-k (four and five year olds).
- I now only teach the two year old class (they turn three during the school year or the summer after school is out). I’ve been only teaching two year olds since 2018.
- My two’s class meets Tuesday and Thursdays from 9:30 am – noon.
- I can have up to ten in my class and I have an assistant teacher and also a floater teacher (who helps during centers time).
- I am also a sub for the older classes when needed (and will share in Instagram stories!).
- My entire preschool runs from September through May and is only half-day. We are not a childcare facility. We do offer an after-school enrichment program until 2:30 for preschoolers.
Okay, now for our themes!

Toddler and Preschool Themes for 2025-2026
Please note: I’ve been asked to identify how long we do each theme, so I included that information beside each one. I use most of these themes for two weeks, but you do not need to do what I do. In fact, I encourage you to tailor this to work with your schedule and your children. This schedule is what I am doing for my half-day, two-day a week program.
