Inside: Looking for toddler and preschool Easter theme activities? Come see how we’ve set up our classroom with lots of hands-on learning ideas!
Last week we had so much fun with our spring animals theme that we kept some of the decor while we set up our classroom for the Easter and spring themes.
While the weather continues to be drab outside, we have lots of color inside, and that makes my heart happy.
Come see how we’ve set up our toddler and preschool classroom for this week’s theme!

Dramatic Play
We left much of what we had out last week, since the themes are so closely related and our children were having so much fun with it.
This is why it’s important to observe how your students are interacting with what you’ve set up.
If you feel they would appreciate another week with an activity, let them have it.
I did add these cute baskets that were 50% off at my local grocery store.
Oh, those sales.
They know how to get me every time.
But I know that my kiddos will love toting these baskets of eggs around….
and dump them.
Over and over.
Who am I kidding?

I came up with a fun spring art activity that involved lots of fine motor.
In fact, you can see the process here.
Easter bags are also on the agenda.
This has been a tradition for most of my 19 years of teaching.

Light Table
You know when you find something fun in the store and know just how you’ll use it?
Okay, well, I didn’t know at that precise moment. It came to me later.
But I just knew something fun could happen with these bunny eggs! I got them at Fred Meyer.
And then I found the bunny egg tray at the Dollar Tree.
Meant to be!
Easel
While at the Dollar Tree finding the bunny tray, I also found some packets of oval sponges.
So I color-coded them with colored masking tape and put together a tray of different paints. (These trays are also at the Dollar Tree and I love them!)
I cut paper in oval shapes and invited the children to stamp the sponges onto the paper.

Table Activities
You know those cups that come with the egg dying kits? They make great color sorting cups for activities such as this. I bought plastic eggs that matched the cups, added bug tongs, and presented it on a tray.
I also found some very tiny chicks at Michael’s Stores and decided to use them on a tray with an egg carton. A fun 1:1 correspondence activity!
Playdough
I love seasonal cookie cutters, but not for making cookies.
They are perfect for the play dough table!

I cut out my bunny printable and will add Do-a-Dot Markers along with regular markers. Scroll down if you’d like the bunny printable!
Blocks
Last week our children loved our mama and baby animal matching that we had on our science table.
So we decided to move them to the block are with some tree blocks.
