We love celebrating Dr. Seuss in preschool! The children bring their own Dr. Seuss books to share and we have fun events such as Wacky Wednesday…

As part of our Dr. Seuss celebration, we enjoyed our Wacky Wednesday!

The 3’s arrived finding a shoe on the wall. I got this idea from Creekside Learning.

I sent home a note suggesting the 3’s wear something silly on this day. Little did I know Thing 1 would arrive! His hair was styled, too!

We had crazy hair, dyed hair, mismatched shoes and socks, clothes on backwards…

I moved things around in the classroom. We painted on the floor.

And used markers under the table!

At the end of the morning, one of my 3’s gave me a huge smile and said, “I loved Wacky Wednesday”. Music to my ears!

Tomorrow is stripes day. I can’t wait to see what the 3’s will arrive wearing!

Aw, I love this post! What a fun day! I especially love the drawing under the table…we might have to do that just to be silly : )

At first they weren’t sure about going under the table, since we don’t normally do that. Once I showed them it was okay, they were all trying to fit under there at once!

We just had Wacky Wednesday with my class of 3 year olds. We had a slipper on the wall, turned our calendar numbers upside-down, had cookies, pretzels and raisins for breakfast and cereal for afternoon snack, and used crayons under the table. The kids loved it!

Looks like SO much fun! I know my preschool kiddos would especially love writing under the table. 🙂 Thanks for including Fun-a-Day’s Dr. Seuss ideas, too!
