Shaving cream and watercolors is our favorite mixture for kids finger painting fun. I know some of you might be cringing from the thought of hands (and arms) getting into that combination, wondering what about the mess? This is when I suggest taking it outside, just like we did with our mirror activity! And while I know this looks messy, the soap in the shaving cream makes clean up a breeze, especially if you can just hose it down when finished.  This finger painting activity is perfect for working on the sense of touch!

What we used:

Colorations Liquid Watercolors
Shaving Cream
Painting Wands
Pastry Brushes
Paint Scrapers
and we had some leftover Foam Paint that we added for some vibrancy.

I placed a large magnetic board on our patio table. I wanted a very slick surface and loved how the light reflected off of it.

I applied the shaving cream and then squirted the watercolors into it. Then I added what was left of the paint foam.

I found this pastry brush at a discount store for 99 cents and added it. I need to buy more!
