Inside: These symmetry puzzle printables are a fun way for preschoolers to work on balance!
Symmetry is when an object looks the exact same on one side as the other.
These printable cards are a fun way to build classification skills while also paying attention to balance.
They are fun to use during centers time at the table or during small groups.
If you are working at home, create a spot at the kitchen table for some quiet time work!

What you will need:
Symmetry puzzle printable (download is towards the bottom of this page)
Prepping this activity:
Make at least 1 copy of each page, depending on which variation you will be doing.
Method 1:
Make 2 copies of each page.
The first set of cards will not be cut in half, but the 2nd set will be.
This way you have a copy of the whole picture, and then a duplicate which has been cut in half.
Place the whole card on the table and hand your preschooler the 2 matching cards that have been cut in half.
Invite them to take the halves and place them on top of the whole card.
What picture did they create?
Method 2:
Make only 1 copy of each page and cut down all of the dashed lines.
This will give you 2 halves for each picture.
Start with just 1 picture, handing your preschooler both sides.
Instruct them to put both sides of the photo on the table, pushing them together to create 1 whole picture.
Make sure they notice how each side looks the very same.
