Inside: Fun Jump and Jam Tunes with Toddlers – Perfect to Get the Wiggles Out

Recently we were not able to go outside during our toddler class due to the air condition from local wildfires.

Now for those of you who are with toddlers – toddlers with lots of energy, I might add – you know how important it is to get outside.

And when you can’t? And you just learn about this as you are starting your day? You take a deep breath and think fast.

What do I have on hand?

How could I keep these 2 year olds moving without tearing apart the classroom?

Full disclosure: I was provided a copy of Dana’s Best Jump & Jams Tunes for review. This post contains affiliate links for your convenience.

Fun Jump and Jam Tunes with Toddlers

Once I realized we could not go outside, I remembered that I had just received a new CD called Dana’s Best Jump & Jam Tunes. It was sent to me so I could give it a review, but I was so busy getting ready for back to school that I never got a chance to pop it in my CD player.

So, as soon as I got the news that we would be indoors for 3 hours, I grabbed Dana’s CD and some instruments. We started with Jump and Jive, a lively song that gets the hands clapping and the feet twisting. We used our jingle bell streamers and got our wiggles out!

We then focused on our jumping skills while listening to Jumping Beans. This song requires listening skills as the toddlers listened for when they were supposed to stop and start. It also added blended English and Spanish.

We ended our session with a version of a favorite toddler song, Five Green and Speckled Frogs. It’s always fun to add some counting to our music!
