Going on a walk is a wonderful way to get in touch with nature.
We love to take our toddlers on local walks, pointing out what we see along the way.
I’ve created a simple nature scavenger hunt printable that is perfect for younger children.
I suggest laminating it for durability.
Before going on your walk, show your toddlers what you will be looking for by holding up the printable and pointing to each object.
Ask them what each picture is.
Then, take the printable with you along with a dry erase marker.
As you go on your walk, notice what’s around you.
What’s on the ground?
What’s in the sky?
As you find something that is on the printable, circle it.
When returning from your walk, gather the children and review what you found, pointing to each picture that is circled.
