Inside: Add some simple counting with these printable farm count and clip cards. A fun way to work on preschool math skills!
We love adding a farm theme to our preschool classroom in the fall.
After going to visit the farm to pick out pumpkins, we explore the farm in a variety of ways in our various learning centers.
This year I decided to create some farm count and clip cards to our manipulatives table for some number recognition, while also working simple counting skills with numbers 1 – 10.
Free Farm Count and Clip Printable Cards
These little cards are a fun way to add counting to your farm theme.
Not only can they be used in the preschool classroom, but they’d also be fun at home during some quiet time.
You could even keep these cards in a bag along with clothespins for an on-the-go activity!
What you will need:
- Farm count and clip printable cards (scroll down to find link to free download)
- One clothespin per card
- Number recognition
- 1:1 correspondence
- Fine motor
For best results copy the activity onto heavy paper (card stock) or laminate. This gives it more durability, especially if you are using it in a classroom setting.
Cut the cards apart and provide clothespins.
How to play:
Place cards and clothespins on a tray or placemat.
Invite your preschoolers to count the farm figures on each card and clip the clothespin to the correct number.
