A fun way to strengthen the fingertips in preschool is any type of art with corks. We’ve used corks at the easel, we’ve used them to paint cherry blossom trees, they are part of our loose parts in the block area, they’ve been part of our float and sink activities with water, and we’ve used them as part of a counting activity. By strengthening the fingertips, we are getting the hands ready for future writing in a fun way!

The texture of the mixture is also slippery, so it glides across the paper.When it dries, it will be glossy and slippery.
