Remember when we painted with cars? I promised you that your toddlers would love that activity and you agreed! Well, here’s another one: painting with fire trucks.
I promise you, this will be a hit just like painting with cars. Even busy toddlers will stop long enough to push a fire truck a few laps around the table.

Painting with Fire Trucks
We covered our art table with a long sheet of white paper. Red and yellow paint was poured into trays and fire trucks were added.
Yes, that easy!
We like to pull the chairs away for these types of activities so that the children can walk around the table as they roll the trucks. The big motions are perfect for strengthening the shoulder and arm, important for fine motor development.
We love using 2 colors so that there is some color mixing happening during the process.
This is a great activity for building communication skills if conversations are taking place at the table.
The toddlers are learning how to respect each other’s space as they maneuver around the table.
This went on the entire centers time. Toddlers came and went. Perfect for their shorter attention spans!
Add some wrist strengthening by trying this on the easel. Let me know how it goes!
