Using Q-Tips (cotton swabs) helps develop fine motor skills because it encourages a pincer grasp.
When young children hold a Q-Tip, they are pinching it. This helps build the smaller muscles in the hands, getting them ready for writing.

Directions:
- Download and print the egg page.
- Pour a shallow amount of paint into a dish.
- Instruct your child to dip the Q-Tip into the paint and then press it in each small ring on the egg.
This egg page can also be used with crayons or markers as a spring color page.
