Inside: This preschool snowman art activity is a great way to use up that bubble wrap you saved from holiday packages! It also works on simple counting skills as the children count each circle that is placed on the page.

There are so many fun snowman art ideas for kids out there, and every year I change up what we do.

This year I wanted to use some leftover bubble wrap from Christmas. I also wanted to add some simple counting to this art, such as when we made our thankful turkeys and our ladybugs.

It’s a super easy and cheap activity that the preschoolers loved!

Preparing this activity:

Trace 3 circles onto the smooth side of the bubble wrap and cut out. Yes, that’s it. Simple!

The painting process:

Place a tray of white paint beside the paper. Have the children press the textured side of each circle into the paint. Have them start at the top of the paper and press each circle onto it, going towards the bottom of the paper.

Let them dry completely.

Turning them into snowmen:

Collect your small pieces and place them into trays. (This is a good way to use up those little odds and ends you’ve been stashing.)

Awesome! Hands-on and cheap! What’s not to love! Although I could see some of my preschoolers getting totally distracted by popping the bubbles!

I was surprised mine did not, as they love to pop bubbles when we put packing wrap on the floor in the gym. I think they were too interested in how the paint felt being applied on the bubbles.

Gosh you can do so many different things with bubble wrap can’t you? I love the different looks of the snowmen. Thanks for linking up to Mummy Mondays.
