Gourds and mini-pumpkins are so fun to paint with due to their varying textures!

Every year our preschoolers enjoy painting with pumpkins and gourds!

They work so well with the size of their hands.

I set up trays of yellow and red paint, so they’d mix during the process.

This activity involved stamping on brown paper bags, since these will be our treat bags for our upcoming Harvest Festival.

I looked for gourds that were smooth, bumpy, short and tall.

We got to work stamping red and yellow on our bags.

Preschoolers love to mix colors. They delight in seeing a new color develop!

I love how their hands could wrap around these!

Of course, they loved the sound when the gourds and pumpkins hit the paper. Pound, pound, pound!
