I’ve seen tea bag painting on Pinterest many times, from different websites. Since we had a nice stash of tea bags, I decided to try tea bag painting with our 2 year olds.

I selected several different types of teas for our tea bag painting. Some I wanted for the smell, some I wanted for the color. Thinking of our five senses here!

I unwrapped and gathered the tea bags together and set them in a tray with a small amount of water.

As soon as the children walked in the door, they were intrigued. They picked the tea bags up by the string and started dropping them onto the paper.

Colors began to appear on the paper. The room smelled nice!

And then I decided to add some paint wands. The liquid was now a nice reddish color from all the tea bags.

And then I added paint brushes.
